Iowa Right to Life is pleased to announce the hire of Caitlyn Dixson as the organization’s Executive Director, effective August 1st, 2018.
“The pro-life movement in Iowa has worked with the legislature to get a lot done in the past few years, from removing state family planning funding from Planned Parenthood in 2017 to the most recent passing of the Heartbeat Bill,” Dixson says. “Despite all of this, there is still a long way to go. I’m excited to work at advancing a cause so near and dear to my heart, especially in this critical time.”
Dixson brings a variety of experience in her background including working in communications for both non-profits and publications, as well as experience within the Iowa State Legislature as an intern and a lobbyist. She is a graduate of Central College in Pella where she earned her B.A. in Sociology and Spanish. Dixson is a lifelong resident of Pella, where she lives with her family.
Roger Rowland, Board President, comments: “Caitlyn’s background, skills, and energy level, coupled with her passion for the pro-life movement, make her an excellent choice to join Iowa Right to Life as our new Executive Director. We are proud and excited to have her on board”.
